Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need my own guitar to start?? — Yes. You’ll need a basic acoustic guitar (₹7,000–₹9,000 range). Our instructors can guide you with trusted brands like Yamaha or Pluto and even help you purchase from a local store or online. It’s important to have your own instrument to practice and connect with daily.
- Do I need any prior knowledge or experience to join? — Not at all! The Guitar Foundation Course is designed for absolute beginners as well as self-taught players who want to rebuild their basics. You’ll start from posture, rhythm, and simple chords before moving into scales, fingerpicking, and performance skills. The goal is to help you play confidently, even if you’ve never touched a guitar before.
- How long is the course and what does it include? — The course runs for 6 months and includes 32 classes - 20 for Guitar Technique and 12 for Musicianship (Theory, Ear Training & Composition). You’ll receive graded assignments, feedback, and a certificate upon completion.
- What styles of music will I learn? — You’ll explore Rock, Pop, Blues, Bollywood, and Fingerstyle foundations. Each style teaches different rhythmic, harmonic, and expressive techniques, helping you become a versatile guitarist capable of playing across genres.
- Can I learn online or only in Bangalore? — You can learn online, offline (Langford Town or Sahakar Nagar), or in hybrid mode. Online learners get live Zoom sessions with HD recordings, while offline students can attend studio sessions and jam with peers for a complete learning experience.
- What if I miss a class? — All online classes are recorded, so you can review them anytime. Assignments and written notes ensure you never fall behind. For private lessons, we also allow limited rescheduling if informed in advance.
- Why is it important for me to learn music theory? — Music theory helps you understand what you’re playing instead of just memorizing shapes or songs. You’ll learn how chords, scales, and progressions connect and how to identify them by ear. This makes songwriting, improvisation, and performance far more intuitive and enjoyable.
- Can I continue learning after the Guitar Foundation Course? — Absolutely. After completing the Foundation Course, you can move on to our advanced Guitar Method programs where you’ll explore improvisation, soloing, advanced chord voicings, and live performance techniques. These modules help you grow as both an accompanist and a lead guitarist.
- Will I get performance opportunities? — Yes! Students regularly perform in our school concerts, jam sessions, and bootcamps. Even if you’re learning online, we encourage recording your performances and sharing them with the community for feedback.
- How much should I practice each week? — We recommend about one hour a day or at least five hours a week. The classes themselves are highly practical, so you’ll spend most of your time playing. Think of it like a sport. Consistent effort builds mastery and confidence.
- How is this Guitar Foundation Course different from others? — Our course follows a bottom-up learning approach where you start with rhythm and chords before melody. We combine performance, theory, and ear training in every lesson so you learn like a real musician, not just by rote. The goal is to make you independent and creative on the instrument.
- How do I enroll? — To enroll, fill out our Enrolment Form or reach us via WhatsApp at +91 77604 56847. We’ll guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have.
